Learn More About PFLAG Clarkston
Founded in 1973 by a mother and her gay son, PFLAG was born from the unified front of a family leading with love. An inspiring alliance of LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones continues to fuel PFLAG, fifty years later.
PFLAG’s network of hundreds of chapters and hundreds of thousands of supporters are helping create an equitable and inclusive world where every LGBTQ+ person is safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved.
The PFLAG Clarkston chapter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We focus on providing a safe space for folks to share their experience and build a community of inclusion and support through monthly community peer support groups (18+) and regular all ages events.

Provide Support – PFLAG Clarkston facilitates monthly in-person community peer support meetings for folks 18+. We also provide periodic programs for special topics and events.
Offer Education – We work with local organizations to offer presentations on LGBTQ+ topics to help our community better understand and support the LGBTQ+ community.
Advocate – PFLAG Clarkston strives to partner with other local organizations to educate key decision-makers about the issues that affect our loved ones and families, and to teach others how to use their voices to amplify our efforts toward a more equitable, and just world for the LGBTQ+ community.
